Betty Boop, thanks for sharing your experience. You're not the first to mention a low battery life for the SK3.
My BlackBerry 8700g has EDGE connection, and if I'm not mistaken, the SK3 also uses EDGE. So the Internet speed is pretty much the same for both the Sidekick and BlackBerry. And, yes, the BlackBerry supports javascript.
