Sidekick 3 D-Wade Style from T-Mobile

Tuesday, February 13th, 2007

T-Mobile USA recently introduced the limited edition Sidekick 3 D-Wade designed by NBA player Dwyane Wade. Wade is a Sidekick user and says he is excited to be able to customize his new Sidekick 3, Wade-style. ”

I really wanted to design a Sidekick that meant something special to me – one that reflects my own personal style and inspiration. I’m excited that it will soon be in the hands of people who want a great device that looks smooth”, said Wade.

Apparently, the only difference compared to the original Sidekick 3 is that the case has been retooled in a new gold and white color scheme. The back of the Sidekick 3 D-Wade also has a basketball-texture to it for extra grip.

The Sidekick 3 D-Wade Edition goes on sale February 21st by T-Mobile.

FCC Approves New Sidekick w/ Less Features?

Sunday, January 21st, 2007

Between the Hiptop versions 2 and 3, the FCC has approved a new Sidekick. We say this because the model approved by the FCC has a Sharp model number in between the Hiptop version 2 and 3, and other than not having Bluetooth technology, the other features available are not known, including whether it will have EDGE or GPRS.

New information about the new Sidekick should surface this Spring.
