BlackBerry 8800 Rumored
The new RIM BlackBerry 8800 has a full QWERTY keypad and uses the Pearl’s glowing trackball. The new 8800 is slimmer, about 1.55cm, has a QVGA display (320×240), a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash, a media player, and has 64MB built-in memory with a microSD / TransFlash expansion slot. It supports Bluetooth, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, and A2DP for wireless stereo. The new BlackBerry 8800 can be expected in early 2007.

Neat - now if data only service can be had without getting voice service. I would get a blackberry in a New York minute if I did not have to get the voice service which I would not use because I am deaf. Why should I pay for a service I do not use?

dude you can. i know verizon an cingular both offer data only plan. its very common, expecially with blackberrys. typically the data only plan will be about $5-$10 more than the data add on feature. so Cingular for example, unlimited enterprise capable data package added on to a voice plan is $44.99. stand alone data only package is $49.99. not sure about sprint and tmo, but they are competive so it would suprise me if they didnt

I just read in the newspaper that this phone will “NOT” be carrying the 1.3 megapixel camera. Is this true? I would love this phone with the camera but I’m getting two diffrent stories from two diffrent references.
Thanks..;0)
